The show, a drama-romance, explores the emotional and psychological effects of an extramarital affair between Noah Solloway (West), a married father of four spending the summer at his in-laws’ Long Island estate along with his wife (Tierney) and kids, and Alison Bailey (Wilson), a waitress working to piece her marriage back together in the wake of tragedy. The show’s “gimmick” (if you want to call it one) is that the narrative is presented from both male and female perspectives.
The four-disc collection that includes all ten episodes of the debut season, cast-and-crew interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, character profiles, and full-length episodes of the Showtime original series HAPPYish and Ray Donovan, as well as the CBS series Madam Secretary.
The second season of The Affair premieres on Showtime in October, 2015.
