Blu-ray, DVD Release: Just Go With It

Just Go With It movie sceneSony Pictures Home Entertainment released Adam Sandler/Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy Just Go With It on Blu-ray, DVD and Blu-ray/DVD combo on June 7, 2011.

The PG-13 movie stars Sandler (Fifty First Dates) as a plastic surgeon who, during a weekend trip to Hawaii, enlists his assistant (Aniston, The Switch) to pretend to be his soon-to-be-divorced wife to cover up a lie he told to his much-younger girlfriend (Brooklyn Decker in her first theatrical movie). More lies — and, we’re guessing, some romantic confusion — ensue. Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole), Minka Kelly (The Roommate), Kevin Nealon (TV’s Weeds) and musician Dave Matthews also star. (Side note, Decker is reportedly a big fan of the Dave Matthews Band.)

The film met with some not-so-great reviews when it hit theaters (Marjorie Baumgarten of the Austin Chronicle said the movie “is an exercise in stagnation” and Roger Ebert called it “rarely funny”), but Just Go With It grossed $103 million, respectable but lower than Sandler’s other recent comedies, such as Grown Ups‘ $162 million.
